Mexico Series: Jose Vasconcelos Library
This is the famous Vasconcelos Library in Mexico City. This library is unique because the book shelves don't sit on floors and there are no elevators that take you to the various levels. All 500,000 plus books hang from the ceiling on a curtain of shelves. This library was designed by a team of architects led by Mexican Architect Alberto Kalach. The Library has a capacity to hold aprox. 1.2 million books. If you're ever in Mexico City, try to get to this library and check it out.
